Water Purification
Heavy metal ions and organic compounds are one kind of pollutants in water and become toxic and hazardous to human health and the environment. These substances are primarily found in water due to effluents that are emitted from industries such as steel mills, petrochemical plants, resin manufacturers, agriculture industries, pharmaceutical industries, dye industries, and others. Such contaminated water can affect the human body organs such as the kidney, liver, and pancreas in addition to causing protein degradation, tissue erosion, and paralysis of the central nervous system. So, to overcome this problem, we are working on the synthesis of green and sustainable carbon nano materials for the adsorption of heavy metal ions and organic compounds.
